3 Phase Strategy
The 3-Phase Strategy is an optimized CMM level 4/5 methodology to be used in the processes of modernization, re-platforming, conversion and migration. All 3 phases are efficiently supported by the meta-information system G4/Repository. The user interface G4/Analyzer or G4/EAM with over 100 queries/reports supports many thinkable aspects of interrogation. Queries can even be prepared on the fly in order to analyze the deepest details in the heart of the legacy system.
Once the upfront Phase-0 activity finished successfully the fully automated work can start.

Phase-I
From the inventory with G4/Analyzer, meta-information is obtained showing metrics, complexity levels (McGabe, FPA) detachment/clustering of legacy parts will be realized. Next the new architectural outlines of the target environment are set and user specific transformation rules, if any, are defined.

Phase-II
Facts from Phase-0, but more probably Phase-I are input for the Cornerstone Competence Centre (CCC). Here the case specific modules from the G4-platform are activated. Depending on needs, G4/Convertor, G4/Migrator or G4/Renovator are invoked to perform modernization, re-platforming, restructuring and/or rejuvenation projects.

Phase-III
The results generated from target source modelers within G4/Convertor, G4/Migrator or G4/Renovator are compiled, tested till found to be correct and finally implemented.
Because platform specific issues may arise, consultancy is almost always involved at the user premises. Consultants will perform all tasks related to unit-, functional- and integration-testing.
An important remark with regard to testing is that testing times are considerably shorter due to the fully automated process of Phase-II and the support of the ERP functionality in G4/Analyzer or G4/EAM. Also the repetitive and retrospective functionality of the G4/Sigma-solution strategy shortens the test path. Clients need not freeze their legacy systems.

Consultancy organizations that want to proceed as a System Integrators may opt for CSF (Cornerstone Strategy Focus), Cornerstone’s System Integration Methodology.

Critical Success Factors
ERP functionality of G4/EAM supports the 3-Phase Strategy. G4/EAM and 3-Phase Strategy adoptable within all System Integrators’ strategies like ITIL, Mikado, ARM, Omega, CSF and others. Fully automated establishment of G4/EAM within 3 to 4 weeks. G4/EAM is expandable and customizable. Integrated views of application systems of back-office, mid-office and front-office. G4/EAM and the meta-database G4/Repository are open architectures. G4/Repository is a standard SQL relational database. G4/Sigma the any-to-any conversion and migration solution. Repetitive and retrospective conversion functionality, no freeze of legacy code, no business interruptions.
