All Modernization, re-platforming, conversion and migration tasks are based on the Cornerstone G4-platform and a 3-Phase process methodology providing overall control. Some client situations require Phase-0 type activities especially in cases of Modernization and re-platforming projects.
Consultancy and specific platform expertise are a prerequisite to perform HW/SW platform specific tasks. Local partners, international consultancy organizations or client’s own experts may provide the required expertise. Especially the site-survey activities require involvement of knowledgeable consultants.
The 3-Phase methodology starts with Phase-I, a prerequisite for Phase-II and Phase-III. Already in Phase-I, specific expertise may be involved, relating to infrastructural and HW/SW specific issues. Consultants perform all work that is specific and not included in the CMM level 4/5 rated 3-Phase methodology. The activities are collectively addressed as Phase-0.
Typical activities are: Site-Survey, Architectural Surveys, Global Plan, Phasing and Clustering of application parts. All activities are supported by the ERP functionality of the G4-tools (G4/Repository, G4/Analyzer, G4/EAM) in order to control voluminous piles of code and data. Some of our global service providers or System Integrators have their own methodologies for controlling, re-platforming, conversion, and migration projects. Due to the fact that the G4-platform is a white-box solution, it fits perfectly with methodologies like ITIL, Mikado, ARM, Omega and other. In situations where consultants are involved without backing of solid project control methodologies, Cornerstone will provide their own Phase-0 methodology.
The Cornerstone Phase-0 methodology is called CSF (Cornerstone Strategy Focus), developed in order to guide specific projects with external and/or internal experts and partners involved.
Intellectual Property Policies require a signed partner agreement with Cornerstone Technology for using G4-platform related products & services.
