G4/Repository

A meta-information database custodian, based on a relational database, accessible by standard SQL.
From 2006 on, G4/Repository supports multi languages simultaneously like PL/1, Cobol, Java, JCL, IMS and DB2 in one G4/Repository. Other examples of simultaneous processing are OracleForms 6, 9i, SQL, C, PLSQL, SQR and Oracle-DB.
Sub-modules to G4/Repository are G4/DTI, G4/Propagator and G4/FPA.
 
G4/DTI
The G4/DTI (Data Type Identification) functionality is an add-on to G4/Repository. Its main purpose is to identify specific occurrences of a variable (e.g. ACCOUNT-number, IBAN-number, BIC-code, LOC-code, NATO-stock-number) in its many varieties of mnemonic name, length, format and presentation. A special algorithm takes care after refinement of search-hits. Inclusion and exclusion strategies can be defined per program, sub-program, procedure, sub-procedure etc.
 
G4/Propagator
The G4/Propagator is based on the SEED-field algorithm, related to memory mapping. Mass-conversion, Renovations and field/variable extensions normally involve both G4/DTI and G4/Propagator to give a 100% accuracy. The results are processed by G4/Renovator a factory based service.
 
G4/FPA
The G4/FPA (Function Point Analysis) functionality is an add-on to G4/Repository. Its main purpose is to establish sizing & impact factors during application expansion, redesign, rebuild, SOA re-architecturing, SEPA implementations, Outsourcing SLA check & refinements etc.
 
 
G4/Analyzer

The user-interface to interrogate the G4/Repository with one main language and its related control language. Single language examples: PL/1, JCL, IMS or Cobol, JCL, DB2 or Ideal, JCL, DB2 etc. See queries & reports available.
 
 
G4/EAM (Enterprise Application Manager)

The user-interface to interrogate the G4/Repository in the multi-platform, multi-language mode. G4/EAM is a leading edge ERP system for the IT-industry itself. Examples of multi-language are: PL/1, Cobol, C, Java, JCL, IMS, DB2 or Ideal, VBA, ASP, SQL, DB2 or OracleForms 9i, SQL, SQR, C, PLSQL, Oracle-DB. See queries & reports available.
Sub-modules to G4/Analyzer and G4/EAM are G4/Elicitor, G4/STI and G4/DYNALYS.
 
G4/Elicitor
This advanced Logic Mining functionality is integrated in the G4/Analyzer and G4/EAM. Its main purpose is to elicitate (withdraw) business rule logic from huge and complex program sources. The results can be used as functional components in SOA redesign activities, methods in OO-classes, equivalency compares for functional requirements checks etc.
 
G4/STI
The G4/STI (Statement Type Identifier) functionality is a specific query within G4/Analyzer and G4/EAM. Its main purpose is to enforce standards (forbidden statements) impact analysis and advanced aid for conversion/migration activities.
 
G4/DYNALYS
The G4/DYNALYS functionality addresses program structure and flow issues like access path analysis, goto’s, Performs, blocks, triggers, procedures etc.
 
 
G4/Explorer

Is used as a ‘light’ form of G4/Analyzer by consultant organizations undertaking site-surveys or studying outsourcing and insourcing deals. It is configured with over 50 different languages and consists of beit limited: metrics, where-used, consist-of, DTI, STI, query/reports.
